Description

Mapelastic Smart is a two-component, high-flexibility cementitious waterproofing and protective membrane supplied as a complete kit consisting of Part A (cementitious powder) and Part B (liquid polymer). When mixed together, it forms a highly elastic, durable waterproof membrane capable of bridging cracks greater than 2 mm. It is designed for waterproofing and protection of concrete and cementitious substrates, including areas subject to vibration, movement and environmental exposure.

Application Notes

• Mixing ratio: Part A : Part B = 2 : 1 (by weight)

• Apply by brush, roller or spray-rendering machine

• Minimum applied thickness: 2 mm (in at least two coats)

• Embed fibreglass mesh or Mapetex Sel into the first coat where required

• Protect from rain and water exposure for 24 hours after application

• Wait 4–5 hours between coats

• Allow minimum 5 days curing before laying ceramic tiles
