Refund policy
At Malaga Tile Centre, we ask customers to select tiles carefully prior to purchase, as tiles are a natural product and variations can occur between batches. We strongly encourage customers to utilise our sample service before placing a full order.
Ownership & Payment
Full payment is required on all orders prior to collection or delivery.
All goods remain the property of Malaga Tile Centre until full payment is received.
This invoice may constitute a payment claim under the Building and Construction Security of Payment Act 2021 (WA), Section 17.
Inspection of Goods
All goods must be inspected upon receipt and prior to installation to ensure the products are correct and free from defects.
Tiles that have been installed or laid are deemed accepted and cannot be returned or refunded.
Change of Mind
We do not offer refunds for change of mind.
Returns & Refund Eligibility
Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, goods may be returned for refund or exchange within 30 days of the invoice or delivery date, provided all of the following conditions are met:

Goods are unused, in saleable condition, and in their original packaging

Goods are from Malaga Tile Centre’s current running batch
-
Goods are from current stock held by Malaga Tile Centre
-
Goods are not part of a special, custom, or indent order
-
Goods were not purchased as clearance, second grade, wholesale, or discounted items
-
Goods have not been installed, laid, cut, altered, or damaged
-
Returns must be for the entire quantity from the original order
(partial returns, spare tiles, or leftover tiles will not be accepted) -
The original invoice or receipt is provided
All returns are subject to inspection and approval by Malaga Tile Centre.
Non-Returnable Goods
The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances, except where required by law:

Specially ordered, custom-made, or indent products
-
Installed, used, cut, altered, or damaged tiles
-
Clearance, second-grade, wholesale, or discounted products
-
Discontinued products or tiles not part of our current running batch
-
Partial quantities, spare tiles, or leftover tiles
Restocking Fees
Approved returns and exchanges are subject to a 30% restocking fee (plus GST).
This fee applies to all returned items that are not damaged, including exchanges.
Order Cancellations
If an order is cancelled prior to dispatch, a cancellation fee of 5% of the total order value will apply.
Orders that have already been dispatched or received from suppliers cannot be cancelled.
Delivery & Return Costs
Unless the return is due to an error by Malaga Tile Centre, all delivery and return freight costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Damaged or Incorrect Goods
We take care to ensure all orders are picked and checked correctly; however, tiles are fragile by nature and damage may occasionally occur during transport.
Important:

Any claims for damaged, incorrect, or short-delivered goods must be lodged within 2 business days of delivery or collection

Customers must provide clear photos of the original pallet, damaged tiles, and broken boxes

Original packaging must be retained for inspection

Claims made after installation will not be accepted

Claims submitted after 2 business days (Mon–Fri) may be refused
Once a claim is approved, Malaga Tile Centre reserves the right to replace the goods or issue a credit, at our discretion.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed via the original method of payment after inspection and approval.
Please allow up to 15 business days for funds to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
