RLA Unigrip Tile Adhesive is a premium-grade, smooth, white polymer-modified tile adhesive offering superior flexibility and excellent non-slump performance. Classified as C2TES2, it is a high-performance adhesive suitable for internal and external wall and floor tiling, large format installations, wet areas and fully immersed applications such as pools and spas.

Suitable Substrates

• Concrete (minimum 20 MPa compressive strength)

• Screed

• Render

• Compressed fibre cement sheeting & tile underlay

• Plasterboard

• Acoustic matting

• RLA wet area membranes

• Existing tiles (when prepared correctly)

Mixing

• 4.5 litres of water per 15kg bag

• Add powder to water while mixing with electric paddle

• Mix to smooth, lump-free consistency

• Allow to stand for 3 minutes, then re-stir before use

Application

• Install in accordance with AS 3958

• Use appropriate notched trowel for tile size

• For tiles larger than 300 × 300 mm: back-butter tiles

• For clip systems: use 12–20 mm notch + back-butter

• Apply adhesive to approx. 1m² at a time

• Minimum bed thickness:

  • Walls: 2 mm

  • Floors: 3 mm

• Do not disturb tiled surface for 24 hours at 20°C

• Approx. 6–7m² per 15kg bag using a 10mm notch

Limitations

• Do not apply below 5°C or above 35°C

• Not suitable for direct fixing to timber flooring

• Not suitable for moisture-sensitive stone

• Movement joints must comply with AS 3958
